What is CHEMOMETRICA?

Chemometrica is a scientific-based company, born in Santa Fe, Argentina. The Latin word Chemometrica is an adjective derived from “chemometrics”.

Chemometrics is the art of transforming chemical data into information, through a combination of mathematical, statistical and computational techniques. It is a field of analytical chemistry.

Analytical chemistry, the science of measuring matter, is ubiquitous and essential across many industries, including the chemical, petrochemical, food, and pharmaceutical sectors.

When combined with chemometrics, data arising from industrial processes can be transformed into actionable knowledge, unlocking its full potential and driving meaningful technological impact.

Thus, Chemometrica emerged from the aspiration to harness the power of chemometrics and data science within industrial environments — fostering the transition toward smarter, data-driven processes and promoting evidence-based decision-making.

Devoted to supporting the biotechnology industry — and particularly the biopharmaceutical sector — Chemometrica promotes the adoption of science and risk-based strategies inspired by the ICH Guidelines

Therefore, we combine chemometrics and statistical tools within this regulatory framework, to provide transversal solutions that enhance analytical development and bioprocess design, monitoring and control.

Mission

We enable biotechnology companies to transform complex data into actionable knowledge.

Guided by the Quality by Design (QbD) framework, our bespoke consulting services leverage chemometrics and data science to deliver tailored analytical strategies that enhance process understanding, design, monitoring and control — fostering efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sustainability.

Vision

Our vision is to be a global reference in applied chemometrics for the biopharmaceutical industry, leading the transition toward intelligent, integrated, and sustainable bioprocesses.

We strive to bridge the gap between academia and industry, transforming scientific knowledge into data- driven solutions that make biotechnology more efficient, competitive, and environmentally responsible.

Our Team

Fabricio Chiappini is a scientist and entrepreneur with a solid academic background and a clear vision for applying data science to real-world challenges. He holds a degree in Biotechnology and a PhD in Biological Sciences, and has completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship. His expertise includes multivariate data analysis, design of experiments, and machine learning applied to chemometrics.

Over the past decade, he has authored more than fifteen peer-reviewed papers in leading journals such as Analytica Chimica Acta and Analytical Chemistry. He has also delivered numerous talks and presentations at national and international conferences across Europe and Latin America. Throughout this academic journey, his connection with the biopharmaceutical sector sparked a lasting interest in working on projects within this field.

With more than 12 years of experience, Fabricio currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (www.unl.edu.ar), teaching disciplines in applied mathematics and statistics.

Driven by the conviction that knowledge should transcend academic boundaries, Fabricio founded Chemometrica in 2025. Today, he brings his academic expertise and collaborative spirit into the industrial landscape, promoting data-driven approaches that enhance quality and innovation. His work combines the precision of scientific thinking with a practical vision focused on technological applicability and measurable impact.
